Silencing the Media Is Silencing Society The Ethiopian Journalists Association of Canada (EJAC) calls on the Ethiopian government to immediately reverse its decision to suspend the licence of Media Communication Center (MCC), publisher of The Reporter newspapers and digital media. For more than three decades, The Reporter has played an important role in promoting independent journalism, freedom of expression, public accountability, and access to information in Ethiopia. This campaign stands in solidarity with independent journalists and media institutions and calls for the protection of press freedom and the right of every Ethiopian to access information and express their views freely.
